Yes, you may purchase your own cable modem. For optimal Internet performance, we recommend a DOCSIS 3.1 modem with a minimum of 24 x 4 channel bonding. Only modems purchased or rented directly from SECV are fully supported by our technical service representatives. If you purchase your modem from another vendor, support and upgrades must be done via your device manufacturer.
